CONTEMPORARY GARDEN UPDATE SE20

The layout of this garden already worked well a young family, but they wanted to replace outdated planting and add their own style.
Open sided larch benches and white planters cover up unsightly edges around the astro turf and make the garden feel wider. They also add new opportunities for planting, socialising and play. A cherry tree and multi-stemmed Himalayan birch in matching white planters add seasonal colour to a planting scheme that is otherwise a blend of cool greens and blues. On one side a climbing hydrangea will add height and leafiness while along the shared boundary fence a 'meadow in a box' of tall grasses, echinacea and scabious will add movement and privacy in summer months.
