I am a qualified horticulturalist, garden and landscape designer.
I first caught the gardening bug helping my Dad in our 1970's suburban garden where I looked after my own corner of the vegetable patch. It re-emerged in my 20s when I convinced a would-be landlord to let me a flat by promising to take care of the large garden. I had no idea where to start, so signed up for evening glasses in horticulture. I went on to study garden design, volunteer in public gardens and design gardens for friends. I then studied Landscape Design at University of Greenwich, including landscape architecture, construction, planting design, ecology and design of public spaces.
Meanwhile I have enjoyed a 20-year career as a producer of music festivals, events, education and community programmes. I continue to combine consultancy for clients in the arts and heritage sectors with my garden business. I live in Beckenham, South East London with my partner and two daughters.
Qualifications:
Postgraduate Diploma in Landscape Design (University of Greenwich)
General Certificate in Horticulture (Royal Horticultural Society)
Level 3 Certificate in Garden Design (City & Guilds)
OCN Certificate in Garden Drawing & Graphics (Capel Manor)
